The Leverhulme Trust Artist in Residence at Bristol University, 2015. Based in The School of Earth Sciences. During the residency Rodney produced a contemporary interpretation of the first geological map of Britain, made by William Smith in 1815. The Map can now be seen in the School of Earth Sciences, Wills Memorial Building, Queens Road, Bristol. Please ask at Earth Sciences reception if you would like to view it.The map was featured in the Museum of Wales Exhibition: "The Colour of the Earth - Art and the Material Landscape".  "Rodney Harris has recreated William Smith's 1815 Map of the British Isles using geological pigments made from corresponding ground up rock samples from each area of the UK. The resulting full scale map is a unique and surprising overview of the true colours of the British landscape. National Museum of Wales Oriel Y Parc Gallery, St Davids, Pembrokeshire. The work was part of The Leverhulme Trust Artist in Residence at Bristol University for 2015." 



Sculptor in Residence, Liverpool University, European Capital of Culture 2008.

Year long residency based in the Physics Department, Rodney Harris worked across faculties developing cross-curricular creative projects, workshops and events. A range sculpture and prints were produced which are now part of the art collection held at the University. Work can be seen in Marine Biology, Dentistry, Psychology and Physics departments.
